What does it mean?

This is the hourly cost for personal care. Fees vary by the type of care needed

This fee is to administer your care plan, including rostering, co-ordination and financial management.

This fee includes home visits for assessments and reviews and care plan development. Typically the amount of time required increases with your amount of care.

An exit fee may be payable if you leave the provider.

This fee is a co-contribution of 17.5% of the single person aged pension rate, or $9.97 per day. Some providers will waive this fee.

You may be asked to pay up to $28 per day dependent on your income. Annual and lifetime caps apply.

Approved organisations receiving a home care subsidy are GST free. Self funded care or co-contributions will have to pay GST on some services.

What does it mean?

The refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD) is based on the room type and is a lump sum payment. The balance of the deposit is refunded when you leave less any amounts you have agreed to have deducted.

Some facilities offer the option to pay for a more premium service. Extra or Additional Services may include; higher quality meals, greater meal choices, higher standard of accommodtion fixtures and fittings, newspaper delivery, and so on.

This fee is a co-contribution of 17.5% of the single person aged pension rate, or $9.97 per day. Some providers will waive this fee.

The daily care fee covers living costs such as meals, power and laundry services. Everyone must pay this fee.The maximum Daily Care fee you will pay is approximately $48 per day. This fee increases twice per year.

You may be required to pay a means-tested fee of up to $245 per day dependent on your income, assets and property. Annual and lifetime caps apply.
