Understanding your current funding
In-home aged care in Australia is currently funded through one of two programs: Home Care Packages (Levels 1–4) and, more recently, the new Support at Home program (Classifications 1–8). Both are government-funded through My Aged Care. Here’s what each program covers:

Transitioned Home Care Packages
Grandfathered participants: approved for home care funding before 12 Sept 2024, including those who were on the waitlist.
Transitional participants: approved for home care funding after 12 Sept 2024 and before 1 November 2025.
Support at Home Classifications
New participants: approved for home care funding after 1 November 2025.

All participants have access to these services regardless of classification level. Your budget determines how many hours you can access.
