Definitions

‘CareAbout‘, ‘we‘, ‘our‘ and ‘us‘ means CareAbout Holdings Pty Ltd (ABN 41 612 411 720).

‘Participating provider‘ means a Provider that has a commercial or referral arrangement with CareAbout.

‘Services‘ means the referral, matching and information services provided by CareAbout through the Website.

‘Content‘ means any information, text, images, data, material or other content available on or through the Website, including content provided by CareAbout or third parties.

‘Personal information‘ has the meaning given in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and includes sensitive information such as information about your health, care needs and personal circumstances.

‘Privacy Policy‘ means CareAbout’s privacy policy available on the Website, as updated from time to time.

‘Australian Consumer Law‘ means Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).

1. Acceptance of these Terms

CareAbout provides a referral and matching service to help you connect with providers of aged care, home care and related services. We do not provide care services ourselves. All services are provided by independent third party providers.

We only present options from participating providers and do not compare all providers in the market. Our service is free for users. We may receive payment from participating providers when you engage their services.

Recommendations are based on your needs, preferences and location, but may also be influenced by our commercial arrangements with providers. We do not endorse or guarantee any provider or their services.

We do not guarantee that you will be matched with a provider, that a provider will accept your enquiry, or that any services will be suitable for your needs. By using the Website and submitting your details, you consent to us sharing your personal information with providers so they can contact you about their services (see section 9 below).

3. Ownership and commercial relationships

CareAbout Holdings Pty Ltd owns a care at home provider, Western Home Care Pty Ltd trading as Coastal Home Care. We may also have referral arrangements or other commercial relationships with providers. Where we recommend a provider that we own or have a financial interest in, we will disclose this to you. Our recommendations are based on your needs, preferences and location, but may also be influenced by our commercial arrangements with providers.

4. Third party providers and services

All products and services available through the Website are provided by independent third party providers. We do not control those providers or their services, and we are not responsible for the delivery, quality or outcomes of those services. We take reasonable steps to select providers to be included on the Website, however this does not involve a full assessment of all aspects of a provider’s services.

If you choose to proceed with a provider, you will deal directly with that provider. Any contract will be between you and the provider and subject to their terms and conditions. Providers may accept or decline your enquiry at their discretion. We do not guarantee that a provider will accept your enquiry or provide services to you. We do not monitor or manage the services provided by third party providers after a referral has been made.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You and CareAbout submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia in connection with these Terms.
