Are the listed businesses / service providers actually aged care providers?

No. The businesses we partner with, are strictly third-party companies, and are not aged care providers.

What happens after I submit an enquiry for a selected service/s?

Accepted Answer

Once you submit your enquiry, a representative from the business you’ve selected will be in touch. All businesses aim to respond within one business day of receiving your query.

Do these products and services fall under Support at Home funding?

Accepted Answer

If you’ve been allocated Support at Home funding, we strongly advise discussing what’s covered and not covered under your funding with a dedicated Care Adviser from CareAbout . Transport, meal delivery, allied health, and even select IT education services, in particular, are typically covered under Support at Home. If you’ve recently been approved for Support at Home, the wait for funding to be allocated can be lengthy (dependent on the level of care that’s required). In this case, if you’re happy to pay for interim support, then this may be a helpful option for you.

Will I incur an out-of-pocket expense for these product/service offerings?

Marketplace makes it easy to connect directly with trusted suppliers, with products and services available to both private-paying and Support at Home participants. Private-paying customers who enquire with any of the listed businesses acknowledge that any out-of-pocket expenses are an agreement solely between the customer and the chosen business. For Self-Managed customers, or those whose funding is Fully Managed by a Home Care / Support at Home provider, coverage for Marketplace products and services is subject to provider approval and available care budget. We strongly recommend confirming with your provider whether third-party suppliers and/or contractors are supported under your allocated package before making an enquiry.

Who is Marketplace ideal for?

The product and service offerings via Marketplace is especially ideal for the following cohorts: Private paying customers; Customers awaiting formal allocation of their funding and require individual, interim support solutions; Self-managed customers wanting to use our Marketplace Partners to organise package services; Recipients of CHSP (Commonwealth Home Support Program) funding.* *Please note, not all businesses listed on Marketplace offer CHSP-approved services or products, so please review each listing carefully before enquiring, or simply reach out to a CareAbout Care Adviser to discuss.
