CareAbout was born as a solution to the very challenge facing too many older Australians and their loved ones: Not knowing how to navigate the complex road to finding quality aged care.
We exist as a free, independent service to provide the personalised peace of mind, clarity, and guidance needed to make finding quality aged care an informed choice (and not a compromise).
Our Story
Sadly, most of us only grasp how confusing the aged care maze is once we’re lost in it ourselves. In 2014, two frazzled friends sat down at a cafe in Highett, Melbourne. Both frustrated and in urgent need of quality aged care for their loved ones, they exchanged their personal frustrations, including how alone and stressed they both felt.
They soon realised this wasn’t a one-off experience; everyone around them was in the same boat: looking for quality care, with no idea where to begin. It was in that very moment, CareAbout was born, and these two friends would soon become Co-Founders.
CareAbout has strengthened over the next decade to help over 135,000+ families Australia-wide find the quality aged care support they need (and deserve). Today, we remain steadfast in our mission: no one should ever feel alone when seeking the quality aged care they deserve.

You can think of CareAbout as your partner in your Aged Care Journey – we help you navigate your way through the care options in Home Care, Aged Care, Nursing Homes and Support at Home across Australia.
Our service is 100% free and is based on your needs and preferences. We only match you with handpicked quality providers from our panel, and we’ll always tell you if we own or have a financial interest in the provider we match you with.

And if you’re wondering how we get paid: in order to keep our service free for all older Australians and their loved ones, we’re paid a referral fee only once a successful match is made. We only present you with options strictly based on your personal situation, and we pride ourselves on being transparent, professional, and coherent at all times.
