Sadly, most of us only grasp how confusing the aged care maze is once we’re lost in it ourselves.
In 2014, two frazzled friends sat down at a cafe in Highett, Melbourne. Both frustrated and in urgent need of quality aged care for their loved ones, they exchanged their personal frustrations, including how alone and stressed they both felt.
They soon realised, this wasn’t a one-off experience; everyone around them was in the same boat: Looking for quality care, with no idea where to begin. It was in that very moment, CareAbout was born.
And these two friends would soon become Co-Founders. CareAbout would strengthen over the next decade to help over 135,000+ families Australia-wide to find the quality aged care support they need (and deserve).
Today, we remain steadfast in our mission, which is deeply ingrained as both our core belief and our grounding principle in all that we do, and that’s to ensure: No one ever feels alone when seeking the quality aged care they deserve.

Our service is 100% free and is based on your needs and preferences. We only match you with handpicked quality providers from our panel. We will always tell you if we own or have a financial interest in the provider we match you with.

In order to keep our service free for all older Australians and their loved ones, and to continue CareAbout as an organisation: We’re paid a referral fee only once a successful match is made and you’re up and running with your chosen provider. We only present you with options strictly based on your personal situation, and if we can’t find the right fit, we’ll explore other options with you.
