How long does it take to get a Home Care Package after assessment?

The waiting time for a government Home Care Package can vary based on your assessed level of Home care Package and local demand. You will be placed on a national priority queue while you are waiting for your Home Care Package to be allocated.

How many levels of home care packages are there?

There are four levels of Home Care Packages: HCP Level 1 (Basic Care Needs), HCP Level 2 (Low-Level Care Needs), HCP Level 3 (Intermediate Care Needs) and HCP Level 4 (High-level Care Needs). You may be eligible for up to $59,593 each year from the Australian Government to subsidise in-Home Care Services, from a Home Care Package Provider of your choice.
